There was interest in the 3 year lease of the County Farm. During Monday’s County Commissioner meeting four bids were opened to lease the 163 acres.
Robin Roberts, current lessee bid $188.50 per acre while Smith Family Farms submitted a bid of $282 per acre. J.R. Stoller Farms from Bremen offered a bid of $301 an acre and the high bidder was KSF Farms at $352 an acre.
County Attorney Jim Clevenger will prepare the standard 3 year rental lease agreement which includes two payments to the county, on July 1st and November 1st.
