Flags at half mast_CountyBuildingMembers of the Marshall County Council will conduct their November meeting at 6:30 Monday evening in the second floor meeting room of the County Building. This is typically a morning meeting but someone complained that they are unable to attend those meetings because of work so the Council agreed to move Monday’s meeting to 6:30 in the evening.

The short agenda includes additional appropriation considerations for Argos School, Superior Court I, the Clerk’s Office, Cum Bridge Fund, and Clerk’s Records perpetuation fund.

Since the Argos school board is an appointed board, their additional must be approved by the County Council. They are seeking $17,000 for stipends, $99,000 for health insurance and $24,000 for utilities from their Rainy Day Fund. They are reducing nearly the same amounts in in the same line items from their General Fund.

Superior Court I is request $1,200 for wages, $1,800 in overtime and $10,000 for pauper counsel.

Marshall County Clerk Julie Fox is asking for $2,950 for unexpected banking fees and an appropriation from her Records Perpetuation fund of $4,000.

The final request for an additional appropriation is through the County Highway Department in the Cum Bridge fund for 7th Road construction. They are seeking $175,000.

Also on the agenda are various requests for transfer of funds, the Auditor’s Report and Council items.
