04/28/14 County and State Police responded to a two vehicle crash on US 30 at Redwood Road Friday afternoon at 2:55.

Complete details have not been released but WTCA was informed at the site that three people were transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth with non-life-threatening injuries.

It appears that a passenger car south bound on Redwood Road failed to yield the right-of-way to a west bound passenger car.  Impact was on south bound vehicle the driver’s side and that car ended up in the cross over.  It was a direct front-end crash for the west bound car and he ended up on the north side of US 30.

West bound traffic was stopped for a short period of time with both lanes of US 30 backing up to nearly Pioneer Seed.  As soon as the patients were removed and Lyons Wrecker Service was on site to remove the vehicles involved in the crash one lane was open.

WTCA anticipates getting complete details of the crash with driver’s names on Monday.
