4-Star School06/30/14 Wednesday, Culver Community High School received an unexpected letter from the Indiana Department of Education.

In the letter, the school was informed by the director of accreditation at IDOE that their IT department discovered an error in how the calculations were made to determine “Four Star Schools”.
The letter went on to say that Culver Community High School should have been included on the original list of Four Star Schools. The letter stated that there was an error when calculating math ECA scores.
In the end, the department of education has awarded Culver Community High School Four Star status for the 2012-13 school year.

This is a great honor for the high school, as it is one of the highest awards a school can earn from IDOE.

It is unfortunate that IDOE took so long to provide correct statistics. However, what is important is that, in the end, Culver Community staff and students are being recognized as being one of the higher performing schools in the state of Indiana.
