01/15/14 Most modern dairy farm operators and managers spend just as much time managing people and their business as they do caring for their animals. The Purdue Ag and Natural Resource Extension Educators in north central Indiana are offering a management workshop to help dairy operators and managers develop their business skills. The core of this workshop focuses on the five functions of management (planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling). Please visit the Purdue-Elkhart County Extension website, www.ces.purdue.edu/elkhart for a registration flyer and brochure of the program.

The workshop is 4 sessions on Thursdays running from January 30, 2014 until February 20, 2014 from 9:30am- 3:30 PM. The cost of the workshop is $125 for all session, which includes meals, refreshments and class materials. The workshop will be hosted at the Purdue-Elkhart County Extension office Conference Room Located at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Grounds 17746 County Road 34, Goshen.
