The Bremen Police Department and Reserve Officers will be participating in the National Drug Take Back Initiative sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration this Saturday September 27 from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
Residence can drop of their expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs to the Bremen Police Officers in the CVS parking lot 1150 West Plymouth Street in Bremen.
The National Survey on Drug Use and Health in 2009 estimates that there were 7 million non-medical users of prescription drugs in the United States. The survey further indicates that there were more Americans abusing psychotherapeutics than the number of cocaine, heroin and hallucinogen abusers combined.
Expired, unused or unwanted medications in our homes are a potential source of supply to the drug abusers making it a risk to public health and safety. Please take a few moments to clean out your medicine cabinets and bring them to the CVS in Bremen on Saturday between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
