Earthworks will hold its annual Big Hat Tea Party this Saturday, June 7th at 3pm, at the Earthworks Market at the corner of West Jefferson and 5th Streets.

This year, the tea party has a special theme and will have a special guest.  Proceeds from the party will be used for the purchase of a new children’s cow – Daisy – for Earthworks’ summer programs.  She will be a small cow, an Irish Dexter – the perfect size for a child – and she will be a guest at the Big Hat Tea.

The tea party itself is a fancy party – hats required.  Guests will sample three different teas, as well as scrumptious delicacies worthy of Downtown Abbey.  Little cakes, finger sandwiches, fancy cookies and tiny cheesecakes – all made by Earthworks.

Live violin music by Clara Wooley will be featured throughout the tea and guests will be able to take home a special hand-made trinket.
