The Marshall County Commissioner have made their appointment to replace Katy May, their representative on the Marshall County Alcohol Beverage Commission.
During their meeting on Monday it was note that two people were interested in the position, Brian Liechty and Betty Engle.
Commissioner Kevin Overmyer noted that Engle had served as a member of the ABC but when she ran for County Recorder and was elected she resigned the position.
The Commissioners voted unanimously to appoint Betty Engle to fulfill the remaining term of Katy May. Members of the ABC are appointed on an annual basis. Other members include Vida Creed appointed by the Mayor and Maria Keller appointed by the County Council. The local ABC board meets the first Tuesday of each month in the County Building at 10 a.m.
