Officers with the Plymouth Police Department assisted officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic stop at West Harrison and Center Streets on Monday, February 26th at 8:36 p.m.

The vehicle was stopped because it had suspended plates.

The driver was identified as Deybi Herrera, 25 years old, from North 7th Street in Plymouth.

During the investigation, it was determined that Herrera was driving while suspended prior and had never obtained a driver’s license.

Plymouth Police took Deybi Herrera into custody for driving while suspended and operating without a license and booked him into the Marshall County Jail.  His cash bond was posted at 9:45 p.m. and he was released on bond.   

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
