PlymouthSpeeway_RedWhiteBlue2014Crews have been working hard at the track and a gigantic fireworks show is planned to welcome back racing at Plymouth Speedway for another week.

Playground of Power workers have been tirelessly repairing a section of the track after damage was sustained to the catch fence on the front stretch in a heat race last week. A section of lights tumbled to the ground and a portion of the fence caught on a car after the impact and tore it away from the track.

The track workers have worked every day to get that repaired so racing can continue this Saturday. Safety of the drivers, employees and the fans are the first concerns of everyone at Plymouth Speedway and measures are being taken to ensure that.

If you were at the track last Saturday, bring your admission receipt and your wristbands with you this week and those will be honored as your admission to this race. If you don’t have any of that, you will need to pay a general admission fee or pit gate fee – whichever applies. No photocopied receipts, please.

This Saturday the Swan Lake Resorts UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, Dickies Restaurant 600 Open Sprints, and two Thunder Stocks features will taking to the dirt track.

A special thank you goes out to Dennis Mark from DMark Fence in Plymouth and Scott Huffman of Huffman Electric in Plymouth who are sponsoring Saturday night’s races!

A giant fireworks show is planned during the night to add some flair to the oval.

The gates will open at 4 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m.
