02/20/14 National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning which includes Marshall County until 8:30am on Friday, February 21.
County Emergency Management Director, Clyde Avery said, “We have measured 3/4 of an inch of rain this morning at the weather station located on top of the Marshall County Building.”

 Additional rainfall amounts of around one half inch is forecast with locally higher amounts possible.
In addition to the rain, warm temperatures will continue to melt the snow adding to the total.
Flooding of low lying areas, ditches, creeks and ponding on roads will likely occur and intensify through Friday.
Additionally, a High Wind Advisory will go into effect beginning at 7pm tonight and will remain in effect until 7pm on Friday. Gusts of between 35-45 mph or stronger will be possible. This could cause trees and tree branches to be damaged and may lead to power outages. Unsecured items, may also be blown around and cause damage.
