On Wednesday, July 2nd at 1:16 a.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department initiated a traffic stop for a moving violation on U.S. 31 near the intersection of 4A Road.
During the course of the stop Marshall County Canine Arras was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A search located marijuana inside the car.
The passenger of the vehicle, 22 year old Jared Barrett of Oviedo, Florida was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Marijuana. His cash bond was set at $4,500 and he was given a court date of August 5 in Marshall Superior Court II.
