02/21/14 The Culver-Union Township Public Library is excited to announce a new program for March and April. IRS certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers will be offering free tax return filing appointments at CUTPL on Wednesdays from March 5, 2014 through April 9, 2014. This free program is sponsored by the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide. Appointments will be one hour long, and available times are 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM. The appointments will take place in the small meeting room on the lower level of the library. To make an appointment, please stop by the circulation desk or call the library at 574-842-2941.
Please bring the following applicable items to the appointment: Photo ID for you and your spouse, Social Security card for you and your spouse, your 2012 tax return, Social Security statements, and any pertinent tax related forms that you have received. Some restrictions do apply.
