Plymouth’s water main flushing will be starting at Chester Street this morning, (Friday) and then heading west down Oakhill Avenue. The streets that will be flushed today will be Elm, Discovery, Poplar, Maple, Freeman, Second Street, Nutmeg, Muckshaw, and the Thayer and Pearl Street area.
Residents are warned that flushing could cause brown water. If you see brown water the Water Department suggests running the cold water for 5 to 10 minutes to clean the sediment buildup from your water lines.
