02/10/14 Members of the Marshall County Council will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  Agenda for the meeting includes the request of Clyde Avery, EMA Director for two grant applications, a personnel replacement request of Sheriff Chamberlin for a merit officer and a discussion of the CMA Economic bonds by County Attorney Jim Clevenger. 

Neal Haeck from the County Highway Department will ask the County Council for an additional appropriation for his overtime line item.  He will also update members of various highway projects.

County Council members will consider additional appropriation requests by the: Argos Community School, from the Rainy Day Fund for $15,000; Pre-Trial Diversion funds in the amount of $6,100 for deputy prosecutor wages; the Prosecutor’s 4-D fund will appropriate $1,715 for the caseworker supervisor and $3,315 for caseworkers wages.  Other additional appropriation requests include $60,000 for overtime in the Highway Maintenance fund and $8,000 in overtime in the general fund.  The Historical Society is also seeking an additional of $3,000 for social security. 

There are two requests to reduce funding by the County Council.  Superior Court II will reduce the Court Security Officer by $1,000 and in County Extradition by $25,000 for a vehicle purchased last year. 

The County Council meeting is open to the public although comments are limited to the first agenda item of the meeting.
