06/12/14– Gibson is hosting the Securing & Surviving The Active Shooter Epidemic Seminar on August 6, 2014.

Active shooting incidents have become an epidemic. This event will focus on the prevention, response, and pros and cons of arming teachers and employees.

The event features Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier and speaker who is an expert in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime. Grossman will present on “How Kids Are Learning To Kill.” In addition, there will be presentations from Hanover Insurance on the topic of arming or not arming teachers and employees and Andy Barker of Gibson on responding to an active shooting incident.

Teachers, school administrators, business owners, and the general public will all gain insight.

The event is being organized in partnership with Michiana Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers is a not for profit organization that pays cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to the arrest of felony offenders.
