01/20/14 On Friday Bill Githens, from Culver, filed with the Marshall County Clerk’s Office, as a Republican candidate, for the position of Marshall County Council, District 2.
Githens is currently Vice President of the Culver Town Council, and a former member of the Union Township Advisory Board. Bill is Vice President of the Culver Boys and Girls Club, a graduate of the Culver Military Academy, and holds a BA degree in Economics and Finance from Texas Christian University.
He will be vying for the seat currently held by John Benedict who announced last week that he will not seek re-election after serving a single four-year term on the County Council.
