Arrested_handcuffAt 1:13 Sunday morning August 10th an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Michigan Road near Vandalia Street in LaPaz. During the investigation it was discovered the driver, 34 year old Cynthia Ann Baringer of Granger had a suspended operator’s license. She was also driving with a juvenile male subject with her in the vehicle. The officer suspected that she was under the influence of controlled substances. Field sobriety testing was conducted and a certified test was gathered. Test results showed Cynthia positive for illegal substances.

Cynthia Ann Baringer was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Passenger Less Than 18 Years of Age, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Controlled Substance, Neglect of a Dependant Endangering Life or Health, and Driving While Suspended Prior. She was booked into the Marshall County Jail with a cash bond of $1,505. Formal charges are pending from the Marshall County Prosecutor at this time.
