Meth_ArrestOn Sunday, December 28, at approximately 11:05 A.M., Officer Les McFarland stopped 34 year old William A. Ferguson of Hamlet for driving while suspended with a prior offense in the area of US 30 and Oak Road.  During the traffic stop, Officer McFarland located what he believed to be a marijuana pipe, marijuana drug paraphernalia along with a substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine, under 3 grams.

Robert Ochoa, age 19 from Hamlet,  a passenger in the vehicle and William A. Ferguson were arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail.

Ochoa was booked for possession of methamphetamine with a $1,505 cash bond while Ferguson was charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended with a prior and held on a $3,005 cash bond.

A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for review and formal charges being filed.
