Last week members of the Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals approved the request of George and Sue Holzwart.  Their request was to reduce the rear yard setback from the required 20 feet to 10 feet to construct an above ground pool at 439 Crimson Lane, a R2 Suburban residential zoning district.

Planning Consultant, Ralph Booker noted his concern that adding the pool will mean more than 30% of the property would be covered and that is against the city ordinance.

After a discussion the board approved the 10 foot setback variance and gave a second variance for more than 30% coverage of the lot.  It was also noted that this would be the final construction on the lot.
