In February the administration of the Plymouth Community School Corporation discovered a possible violation of ethical test practices for this year’s ISTEP testing at Menominee Elementary.

In March the Plymouth School Corporation completed an investigation of the ISTEP administration irregularities at Menominee Elementary School.   Following that investigation they sent a comprehensive report to the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) in an effort to self-report the irregularities. According to Dan Funston, the corporation’s testing coordinator, the irregularities that were found could result in test scores being invalidated.

The Corporation recently received the Indiana Department of Education’s report.   The IDOE has concluded that teachers were provided a review sheet that contained three questions violating ethical test practices.  Due to the violation, the Indiana Department Of Education has invalidated all scores for Menominee 4th grade Applied Skills Session 1 Math test.    Assistant Superintendent Dan Funston said, “Students will not receive scores for this test.”
