A 35 year old woman from Indianapolis received minor injuries in a car pedestrian accident on US 31 south of 4A Road Saturday night.
Jennifer Kosinski was struck by a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by 32 year old Jessica Langford of Louisville, KY at 10:30 p.m. She was conscious and alert when emergency personnel arrived on the scene. Kosinski was flown from the scene on US 31 to Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Langford who was southbound and told County Officer Matt Brown that Kosinski was standing on the double yellow lines and stepped in front of her vehicle. She was unable to avoid striking the pedestrian.
Officer Brown believes that alcohol to be a factor with the pedestrian, Jennifer Kosinski.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Plymouth Fire, LaPaz Fire and EMS and MedFlight.
