Plymouth Fire DepartmentPlymouth Fire Chief Rod Miller presented his June departmental activity report to the Board of Public Works and Safety Monday evening.
There were a total of 159 alarm situations last month with 127 of them being emergency medical service incidents. Emergency responders were dispatched and cancelled en route 10 times in June and EMS did 6 medical assists. Other calls last month included 4 false alarms and 2 good intent calls.
The remaining calls in June were one each for: combustible leak or spill, electrical wiring problem, vehicle fire, outside rubbish fire, special outside fire, steam mistaken for smoke, a structure fire, wrong location no emergency found call, unintentional system operation, and other service call.
Taking a look at incident calls by district you will find 113 calls in Plymouth, 22 calls in West Township, 13 calls in Center Township, and 1 assist to Bremen. Paramedic assists were: 4 for Starke County, 3 for Walkerton, 2 for Culver and 1 for LaPaz.
Plymouth firefighters had 240 hours of training in June.
