Marshall County Police Officer Nicholas Laffoon was dispatched Monday morning just after 2:30 to lot 43 in the Gatewood Mobile Home Park at 2403 U.S. 31 for the report of a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was described as a white, 1996 Ford F-350 pick-up truck.
While Officer Laffoon was taking the initial report the Marshall County Dispatch Center was notified that the vehicle was seen in Walkerton.
An officer from the Walkerton Police Department attempted to stop the vehicle and a vehicle pursuit began in St. Joseph County. The vehicle was then involved in a collision during the pursuit on State Road 23 in St. Joseph County.
The offender is alleged to be a 13 year old juvenile.
