PLYMOUTH, IN – The Ancilla College women’s basketball team added another victory for their undefeated record Thursday night, beating out Andrews University.

The Lady Chargers made an early statement against the Cardinals of Andrews University Thursday November 13th through a spark of strong defensive play, which aided to the overall offensive dominance on the night, blowing out their opponents 90-33.

It was through a trio of freshmen that helped lead Ancilla to their explosive victory, but also sophomore Taylor Kuhnle, who banked 16 points and recorded five steals to help the effort. Freshmen Khadijah Moore led the team in an incredible performance, registering 31 points, six steals and five total rebounds. Fellow teammates Ty-Shamere Chism added in ten points of her own; while Kaila Walker ran the defense, grabbing nine rebounds.

Lady Chargers’ coach, Tom Robbins was impressed by how his team played on both the offensive side and defensive side of the ball last night, “We took another step forward as a team last night by competing defensively for 40 minutes. Taylor Kuhnle and Khadijah Moore’s effort on the defensive end sparked their offensive productivity as Taylor went for five steals, leading to 16 points, and Khadijah had six steals, leading to 31 points. We also shot the ball well as a team by shooting 48 percent from the field which included 43 percent from the three point line.”

Looking ahead, the Lady Chargers travel to Milwaukee for a face-off against Milwaukee Area Technical College set for Saturday November 15th at 1:00 p.m.
