The 7th grade Redstorm from Lincoln managed a sweep of the A and B teams from Triton on Monday Night. The A-team won 42-8 on the strength of a great team defensive effort. Lincoln battled through having a starter out with a concussion and two other starters leave mid-game for various reasons. The bench players stepped up strong with Dane Funston scoring 8 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. Trey Galloway added 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals to the winning effort. Adam Hunter paced the defensive effort with 6 steals to go along with his 3 points and 3 rebounds.
The B-team won 31-11 with a balanced scoring effort and strong defensive play. Connor Ray scored 7 points to lead the team. Zephan Nixon, Brady Hatfield, and Grant Houin all added 6 points. Dylan Gamble had 6 rebounds to lead all players.
The Lincoln 7th grade returns to action Thursday night when Laporte Boston comes to play at 5 and 6.
