Lincoln Jr. High’s 8th grade volleyball team defeated Indian Springs in two quick matches with scores of 25-8 and 25-16. The A team went on a long serving run lead by Mary Beatty and jumped ahead 10-1 before turning the ball over. A strong offensive front and tough defense aided in the win. The B team had a closer game until Mackenzie Umbaugh went on an 8 point serving streak to pull them ahead. Both groups played well as a team and earned a whole team win tonight. The girls are in action again tomorrow night at home vs a tough LaPorte Kesling team at 5pm.
Lincoln Junior High seventh grade volleyball played Indian Springs Middle school, September 10. They won in two games, 25-15 and 25-11. Erin Renneker and Avery Christy had the best serving streaks of the night, serving 7 and 8 serves consecutively each.
