Lukenbill_Congressional Record_Dave BottorffThe Executive Director of the Association of Indiana Counties, David Bottorff appeared before the Marshall County Commissioners on Monday to express the organization’s gratitude and thanks to County Auditor Penny Lukenbill.

Bottorff said, “Penny has served many offices here in Marshall County and the tax payers as well. She also served as president of our association, devoting much of her personal time helping out county officials from throughout the state.” He said she went to the state house and talked to legislators about the issues, ran the board of director extremely well and kept us in great financial shape.

Lukenbill_Congressional Record_AwardAs a way to truly express their gratitude Penny was honored with a congressional record mention by Congresswoman Jackie Walorski.

Ben Fulkowski from Walorski’s office presented an award and a copy of the congressional record to Lukenbill.

Lukenbill_Congressional Record_Ken and AdamPenny said, “I just want to thank the association and especially Congresswoman Walorski. I’m just overwhelmed. All of us as public servants have a servant’s heart and we know it is service, public service and we are all delighted to serve our fellow citizens in Marshall County.” She continued, “I don’t like to be singled out for recognition so I accept this on behalf of all the elected officials.”

Lukenbill closed by saying
