Maggie Kubley photo 2014Plymouth native Maggie Kubley will appear in concert Sunday, December 7th at 1:30 p.m. at Miller’s Senior Living Community. Maggie is a PHS graduate and is the daughter of Dr. Jon and Mary Kubley. She is the grand-daughter of the late Dr. James Kubley and his wife Katie Kubley. Katie who resides at the assisted living is happy that her grand-daughter will be sharing her vocal talents with her family and friends.

A seasoned actor, writer, singer, instrumentalist and performer, Maggie Kubley’s first solo performance was in the Webster Elementary talent show in 1992 where she played “The Yellow Rose of Texas” on the piano. From there she moved on to perform at both Lincoln Jr. High School and Plymouth High School before eventually earning her BA in Theatre from Ball State University. After graduating, Maggie moved to Chicago where she now performs theatre and is making music at venues throughout the city with her theatrical pop band, “Celine Neon”.

Maggie’s love for music was born out of a family who also loves music. She came to adore the vocal stylings and songs of Patsy Cline through her grandmother, Katie Kubley, who would play Patsy Cline for the young Maggie at night before she fell asleep.

Maggie has performed several times at Miller’s paying tribute to Patsy Kline and also to Nat King Cole. For Sunday’s performance Maggie has designed a concert around Favorite Songs of WWII. Miller’s is located at 625 Oak Hill Ave. This concert is free and open to the public. For further information call 574-936-9801 and ask for Anna Corbett or Cindy Flagg.
