County News_logoMonday morning the Marshall County Drainage Board opened maintenance bids on several ditches.

Kolesiak Construction had the low bid for maintenance on the McComber Ditch and Hayn Arm. Maintenance work includes debrushing and cleaning approximately 6,430 feet of the McComber Ditch and approximately 500 feet of the Hayn Arm. The winning bid was $5,960.

Hunter Transit had the lowest bid at $7,476.50 for 7,870 feet of maintenance work of the Berkey Arm of the North Berger Ditch.

The drainage board approved the low bid for maintenance work on the Dausman Ditch, north of 7th road and east of State Road 331. Approximately 1,550 feet of ditch will be debrushed and the spoil leveled and a beaver dam located at the east end of the project is to be removed. LDP Excavating had the low bid at $13,100.

The final maintenance project bid opened was on the Mattern Ditch from Gumwood Road to the end of the ditch east of Elm Road, approximately 17,200 feet.
