Please be aware, based on recent IHSAA correspondence and PCSC legal counsel received on June 2, 2014, effective immediately, all participants for any school sponsored summer sport contest or practice, including open facilities and weight training, will require a pre-participation IHSAA physical and consent form on file in the Plymouth High School Athletic office by July 7th. No student will be allowed to participate without an IHSAA physical / consent form on file in any program — fall, winter, or spring.
Current physicals, grades 9-11, along with 8th grade physicals on file at Lincoln Junior High are valid thru the final IHSAA tournament series event which is the baseball state final, June 21st. A new 2014-2015 IHSAA physical form needs to be on file in our office by Monday, July 7th for continued summer participation to occur.
This is a major change to protocol for our athletic programs.
Parents need to schedule physicals immediately rather than wait for August 4th fall start date, if the student athlete plans to participate in summer activities past July 6th.
