The Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office announced today that the grand jury seated in Marshall Superior Court No. 1 met on December 16 and 17, 2014 and returned an indictment in two counts for Theft as a Class D felony and Official Misconduct as a Class D felony against Michael T. Good. The two count indictment alleges Good, during the years 2012, 2013 and 2014, exerted unauthorized control over the property of the Marshall County Solid Waste Management District consisting of approximately $9, 017.12.
Good is currently the director of the Marshall County Solid Waste Management District. The allegations surround the sale of scrap materials during 2012, 2013 and 2014. Good is being summoned into court with an initial hearing date of January 20, 2015.
The Prosecutor’s Office strongly emphasizes that an indictment is only an allegation and Mr. Good is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law before a judge or jury of his peers.
