02/19/14 Residents and staff from the Miller’s Senior Living Community recently worked together on a project making homemade pet treats.  The pet treats were then sold on the Miller’s Campus and at the February 12th Marshall County Humane Society Baked Potato and Salad Bar.   The pet treats were sold for $1.00/bag with all money going directly to the MCHS.

For the past ten years Miller’s Assisted Living has conducted what they call “Pennies for Paws”.  “Pennies for Paws” is a time when residents and staff collect their loose change and donate it to the MC Humane Society.

“You’d be surprised how quickly loose change adds up,” stated Activity Director Cindy Flagg.  “Many years we have been able to donate one hundred dollars or more by simply collecting change that people have lying around.”

This year, however, with the entire campus getting involved collecting change and selling treats; Miller’s Senior Living Community proudly presented MCHS director Nancy Cox with over $750.00!
