CrashInvestigation_2The drivers involved in a two vehicle accident at Juniper and 14th Road on Thursday, July 17th complained of pain to EMS.

23 year old Justin Siwinski of Argos told County Police Officer Jordan Rans he was traveling east on 14th Road approaching the stop sign at Juniper Road just after 5 on Thursday. Siwinski told Officer Rans he came to a complete stop in his 2006 Ford Fusion and did not see any traffic coming in either direction on Juniper Road. He did mention that he had trouble seeing north and south on Juniper Road due to the corn obstructing his view. Siwinski said he started through the intersection and drove into the path of a 1987 Ford F-250 driven by 2 year old John Fishburn Jr. from Argos, who was traveling south on Juniper Road.

Siwinski’s Ford Fusion came to rest on the southwest corner of the intersection facing south in a cornfield.

Fishburn told Officer Rans he was traveling south on Juniper Road approaching the intersection with 14th Road and as he entered the intersection Siwinski’s vehicle drove into his path. Fishburn said he was unable to avoid colliding with the Ford Fusion and his truck came to rest on the south east corner of the intersection facing south.

Siwinski complained of pain to his neck and shoulder while Fishburn complained of pain to the wrist. Both refused treatment by EMS.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Plymouth Fire and EMS and Reichert & Knepp Towing.
