Plymouth Police Officer Shelley Cleveland investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Western Avenue and Markley Drive Monday afternoon at 1:03.
The crash occurred when 52 year old Stephen Clabaugh of Bourbon who was traveling east on Markley Drive and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. Clabaugh told the officer he was “daydreaming” and ran the stop sign.
Clabaugh’s 2006 Chrysler van crashed into a 2012 Chevrolet car driven by 32 year old Etta Sammartano of Bourbon who was northbound on Western Avenue.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene and both drivers sustained minor injuries.
The Plymouth Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Fire Department.
