01/17/14 On Wednesday, January 15th at 8:52 a.m. officers from the Plymouth Police Department responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on U.S. 30 in the westbound lane.
Officer Derek Workman arrived on the scene and began his investigation. The driver of the green, 2001 Ford Explore, Ernest G. Gentry of Knox said he was westbound on US 30 from Oak Drive. He had hit a patch of black ice causing him to lose control and leave the roadway going off the north side of the road. Driving off the roadway caused the vehicle to roll over a couple of times before come to rest on its top.
Mr. Gentry received a small cut to his finger as a result of the accident and refused medical treatment at the scene.
Lyon’s Towing assisted in the removal of the vehicle due to the extensive damage caused by the accident.
