cats_neuter scooterLaura Mann, member of the Plymouth Park Board and Mayor Senter’s administrative assistant say the Mayor’s office gets a couple of complaints each week of feral cats and for cats in general running at large.

At the Park Board meeting on October 7th the Park Board approved the request of Nancy Cox, Director of the Marshall County Humane Society to use a climate controlled building for a monthly visit from the Neuter Scooter.

The Neuter Scooter will make its first stop in Marshall County on Tuesday, November 4th at the Webster Rec. Center. The Neuter Scooter can help control the cat population by offering affordable spay and neutering services for cats. Cost is $50 per cat and only $20 for true feral cats, those that must be caught in live traps and brought to the clinic.

Pre-made appointments are necessary because the clinic can fix up to 100 cats that day. You can register on line at www.neuterscooter.com.

Nancy Cox said, “There are three reasons to spay or neuter your cat; they will make friendlier companions, they are less likely to roam or run away, and they are less likely to get into a fight and they seem to bite less.”

Cats are dropped off at the Neuter Scooter in the morning and picked up in the afternoon. Payment is required at drop-
