“No Good” Sentenced to Ten Years Imprisonment for Methamphetamine Manufacturing

June 26, 2014

MugShot_NOShawn Good, whose nickname is “No Good”, 36 of Argos was sentenced today (June 25, 2014) in Marshall Superior Court No. 1 to 10 years imprisonment for manufacturing methamphetamine, as a Class B felony. In open court, Good admitted that he, along with several other individuals, were manufacturing methamphetamine on January 28, 2014, in a home on Michigan Street in Argos.
Judge Robert O. Bowen approved an agreement reached between Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Nelson Chipman and defense attorney Marc A. Morrison, which provided for Good to admit to the manufacturing meth charge as a Class B felony and a dismissal of all other counts. The original charge was as a Class A felony due to the proximity to Memorial Park. In addition, the sentence provided for Good to attend intensive drug rehabilitation through the Purposeful Incarceration program.
The case began with an anonymous telephone call reporting that an individual with a warrant for their arrest was living at the Michigan Street home, and that a possible methamphetamine lab was present. Officers from the Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team approached the house in search of the individual. Upon opening the door, officers could see the wanted individual was inside the home, so they entered to effectuate his arrest. A security sweep of the residence was conducted and Good was found in a bathroom with meth manufacturing paraphernalia. The Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Eradication Team was then called in and two one pot meth labs were located and properly disposed.
