Jud Rouch, representing the Rouch Living Trust appeared before the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety Monday evening to seek approval of a property exchange request.
In January of 2013 Rouch purchased the property at 109 Baker Street, a vacant lot that originally had a home that was burned out on it.
Rouch said, “I just want to make it on paper, what it is in reality.” The property exchange is a 168 square foot triangle in the alley area that is used by neighbors to access their garages which is actually his property and the city alley property isn’t being used.
City Engineer Rick Gaul and Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt reviewed the proposal and have no issues with the exchange. Planning consultant Ralph Booker indicated to board members that under the subdivision control ordinance, Mr. Rouch would be required to seek a replat for the property by the Plan Commission.
Mr. Rouch said his intentions are to construct a home on the property for he and his wife to use in the future.
The Board of Public Works and Safety unanimously approved the request.
