The Indiana Department of Transportation announced a road restriction on the southbound lanes of US 31 Wednesday, December 31st.
US 31 between US 30 and West 9A Road, 8 miles south of LaPaz will have the driving lane blocked. Roadside cleanup crew will be at work starting at 8:00AM. They will be removing and replacing soils in the center median of the highway which was contaminated as a result of a diesel fuel spill from an earlier traffic accident. Work should be complete about 4:00PM.
