M.C. Church Orchestra Season Begins, New Members Welcome

February 27, 2014

02/28/14 The Marshall County Church Orchestra’s 2014 season has gotten underway with a weekend of small group performances.  The orchestra reconnoitered during the month of January and they have been rehearsing on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the R.E.M.C. building south of Plymouth.  The orchestra has approximately 35 members.  Within the large group there are several small groups which go out and perform as well.

The weekend of February 22nd saw the small ensemble performing for a Special dinner at the Masonic Lodge.  On Sunday the 23rd the 4th Sunday Church Service group went to Miller’s Merry Manor for their regular church service.  Later in the evening the small ensemble gathered at The Well which is a contemporary church service held each Sunday evening at the educational building of the First United Methodist Church.

The Marshall County Church Orchestra is always welcoming new members to the group.  The orchestra is under the direction of Don Harness of Plymouth.  The orchestra is in particular need of violins, clarinets and low brass instruments.  However, all instrumentalists are welcome.  For further information about booking or joining the Marshall County Church Orchestra call Harness at 574-936-7357.
