Longaberger Basket Collection on Display at Culver Library

February 3, 2014

02/04/14  Currently on display at the Culver-Union Township Public Library is CUTPL Circulation Clerk Chris Emerick’s Longaberger basket collection. Chris has been collecting Longaberger baskets for over 20 years, beginning her collection with a small tea basket. Her collection includes over 50 baskets of various themes including Breast Cancer Awareness, Halloween, Christmas, the Flower series, and the American flag series. Her favorite baskets are the Breast Cancer Awareness baskets, which are released once a year and are the only baskets that she continues to collect. Chris loves Longaberger baskets because they are made in America. At one time during a visit in Gettysburg, Chris was able to make her own Longaberger basket.

Chris’s collection will be on display through mid-March in the display cases on the lower level of the library.   The hope is that you’ll stop by the Culver-Union Township Public Library lobby to take a look at Chris’s collection.
