September Activity Report for Plymouth Fire & EMS

Plymouth Fire DepartmentPlymouth Fire Chief presented members of the Board of Public Works and Safety with his September Activity Report. There were a total of 194 alarm situations between fire and EMS.
Detailing the various situations, there were 148 medical calls, 17 medical assists, 11 dispatched en route, 3 false alarms and 3 good intent calls. Other incidents included 2 vehicle fires, 2 rubbish fires, 2 structure fires and twice for steam mistaken for smoke. Plymouth firefighters also responded to one each, chemical release, electrical wiring problem, a system malfunction and an unintentional detector operator.
Looking at incidents by district there were 125 in Plymouth, 26 in West Township, 23 in Center Township and 1 in Culver. There were 8 paramedic assists to Walkerton, 4 for Starke County, 2 for LaPaz and 2 each for Culver and Argos.
The Plymouth Fire Department also had a total of 107 hours of training in September.
