INDIANAPOLIS – Governor Mike Pence today signed various bills regarding Hoosier veterans.

“The men and women of our armed forces stepped forward for us, and now it’s our turn,” said Governor Pence. “The State of Indiana fully supports those who have answered the call of duty, and the legislation I sign today places a high priority on ensuring their well-being upon returning home. We owe our heroes nothing less.”

  • ·       SEA 331, creating the Second Service for Veterans Program to encourage veterans to become teachers.
  • ·       HEA 1242, making it illegal for an employer to discriminate against a potential employee who is either a veteran or a member of the Indiana National Guard or Reserve.
  • ·       SEA 180, establishing the Veterans Disability Clinic Fund to provide grants to qualified law schools that maintain a veterans disability clinic.
