The PHS boys swim team opened their season with a successful first meet at New Prairie. Senior Jacob Hildebrand had a best time and placed 2nd in the 100 breast. Sophomore Trevor Grimmett had best times in the 50 & 100 freestyle and Freshman Kirk Hettich had best times in his events, 200 Individual Medley and 100 butterfly, winning that event.
The girls also found success in the 2nd competition. Achieving personal best times were Emory Smith in the 200 free & 100 breaststroke, Jessica Drury in the 100 fly, Maria Herrera in the 50 free, and Elizabeth
Wickens and Brooke Wagner in the 100 free.
The Swimmers and Divers head to Culver Academies Saturday for the Eagles Relays, formerly known as the Pilgrim Relays. Competition starts at 9.
