Plymouth Community SchoolsThe Plymouth High School Rock Solid Award is given out two times per school year. The award is reflective of a teacher who promotes excellence in the classroom in terms of student accomplishments and goes above and beyond outside of the classroom as well. The selection is done by a team of Plymouth High School administrators.

Tuesday morning the Rock Solid Award which has existed for more than 10 years at Plymouth High School was presented to PHS Art Teacher Haley Church.

Miss Haley Church is from Angola, IN and graduated from Angola High School. She received a BA of Art Education from Indiana Wesleyan University located in Marion, IN. She holds an Indiana K-12 teachers license.

When asked if she has always been into art, she laughed and said, “I have always been an artsy person, I’m especially into drawing. As a child my mom was a saint for letting me draw for hours on end, she had to force me out of the house to go play.”

Church continued, “In high school I discovered I was good with people and communicating, and that’s where I discovered a way to connect my two passions.”
