Senior Awards were recently held at Plymouth High School and students getting ready to graduate were recognized for their academic, athletic, artistic and musical talents. 

There were a number of athletic awards presented and Gwen Calvert and Janis Holiday presented the Athletic Booster Club Scholar Athlete scholarships to Trenton Briles and Savannah Mae. Both Briles and Mae have been three sport athletes all four of their high school years.  They each received a $2,000 scholarships.

The Kizer Athletic Award was presented to co-female winners Ellen Smith and Savannah Mae and the male winner was Michael Hartman. 

PHS Athletic Director Roy Benge presented the Dr. Ken Guild Mental Attitude Award to Kelly Henderson and John Stillson.  Each received a $1,000 award.    

Basketball coach Ryan Bales on behalf of Belmont University presented Mack Mercer a full-ride basketball scholarship while

Ben Waymouth presented Nathan Kolter a $4,500 golf scholarship to Marian University and football coach John Barron presented

Michael Garrity with a $6,000 football scholarship to Taylor University. Garrity was also the first recipiant of the Wayne and Heddy Wiers scholarship specifically for a PHS football player.  He was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. 

Nine Plymouth High School soccer players were each awarded $500 from the Cody Poczik Memorial Gift.  Those receiving were Jace Allen, Kyle Berry, Kyle Emenaker, Gonzalo Figueroa, Zach Lee, Blake Milliser, Guadalupe Sanchez, Zack Stone, and Nolan Wright.
