The Pride of Plymouth attended the Indiana State School Music Association’s Open Class Invitational on Saturday, October 11th.
The band gave their best performance of the season and was rewarded with a Gold Award rating. The band additionally earned “With Distinction” awards in every category (including Music, Visual, and Effect). The distinction awards are only given to bands that excel in any given category, and the Pride of Plymouth earned this award in all three captions.
The band will now compete in the ISSMA Regional competition this weekend at Chesterton High School. The top bands will move on to the semi-state competition to be held on November 1st. At the semi-state, the state finalist bands will be announced and will perform in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, November 8th.
