01/14/14 The Plymouth High School Gymnastics Team competed in the Valpo Pairs Invitational Gymnastics Meet on Saturday, January 11th in Valparaiso. A pairs competition combines 2 gymnasts to form a mini-team. Each gymnast in the pair competes on only two events. Their 4 events combined are totaled to receive an All-Around Score. The paired team of Nicole Davis and Cassie Quissell earned 5th place out of 20 teams. Freshman Lexie Albright competed on beam for the first time in her career. Junior Cassi Quissell raised her beam score by .6 and her floor score by .35 for season high scores on both events. Senior Brycelyn Garza raised her beam score by .85 and her floor score by 1.05 for season high scores on both events. Sophomore Karly Gruett raised her floor score by .15 for a season high score. Plymouth will host its first home meet on Saturday, January 18th.
