PHS Gymnasts 5th out of 13 Teams at Lakeland Invitational

02/10/14 The Plymouth High School Gymnastics Team competed in the Lakeland Invitational on Saturday, February 8^th.  Plymouth’s Team placed 5^th out of 13 teams with a team score of 95.9.  Plymouth earned their 5^th place win with two of their varsity team members unable to attend.

Cassi Quissell had the Floor Routine of her life placing higher than the reigning State Champion, who placed third at this meet, and breaking the school record at the same time.

PHS Gymnastic Co-Coach Jana Lyon said, “We saw quite a few teams we will face as we move into Sectionals and Regionals.  Our placements were decent.  We are motivated to improve where needed to raise those standings.

Plymouth’s next meet is at home vs. Warsaw on Wednesday, February 12^th at 6:30 PM.

Brycelyn Garza: Vault 7.5, Bars 7.05, Beam 5.85, Floor 5.45, AA 25.85

Cassi Quissell: Vault 8.7, Bars 9.0(3^rd), Beam 7.65, Floor 9.55(2^nd), AA 34.9(5^th)

Nicole Davis: Vault 9.2(4^th), Bars 8.45(5^th), Beam 8.4(8^th), Floor 9.1(5^th), AA 35.15(4^th)
